Oil Drilling
In the oil drilling industry, high-viscosity HEC is primarily used as a thickener in well-completing and workover fluids, whereas low-viscosity HEC serves as a fluid loss additive. As a thickener, HEC provides excellent mobility and stability to slurries used in drilling, completion, cementing, and fracturing operations. In drilling, HEC enhances the cuttings transport capacity of slurries and prolongs drill bit service life. In low-solid completion and cementing fluids, HEC's fluid loss control properties prevent significant water invasion into the formation, thereby improving wellbore stability.

Hydroxyethyl Cellulose(HEC)
Hydroxyethyl cellulose is a non-ionic water-soluble polymer synthesized from natural macromolecular material cellulose through a series of chemical modifications. It is a yellowish or white , odorless and tasteless powder material.
