HEC is used in formulation of pesticide emulsions and suspensions as a thickener for spray emulsions or suspensions. HEC is also used as a cleanser, polisher, plating ink, insecticide, pencil refractory, ceramic binder, cushion liner, tobacco products, solder and flux. HEC is also used as a cationic powder to prevent moisture from penetrating the cable.
